Danish Critical Supply Agency
The Danish Critical Supply Agency (SFOS) is the Danish State’s competency centre for security of supply.
- We advise government authorities in conducting analyses of supply chain vulnerabilities in the supply of critical resources and work systematically to address them.
- We conduct analyses of strategic dependencies relevant for vital societal functions.
- We share knowledge and facilitate dialogue between national authorities and the private sector.
- In the event of a supply crisis, we contribute to efficient crisis management.
The Director General of the Danish Critical Supply Agency is Henrik Findahl Brodersen.
The Agency consists of five departments and the Executive board. The Agency currently employs approximately 45 employees.
Strategy for Security of Supply
The Strategy for Security of Supply establishes guidelines for how Danish national authorities, who are responsible for vital societal functions, can ensure resilient supply chains.
It is essential that national authorities are aware of potential vulnerabilities in the supply of critical resources for vital societal functions and work systematically to address them.
The goal is to avoid being needlessly vulnerable and to ensure the functionality of vital societal functions in the event of a supply crisis.
The strategy does not replace the Danish principle of authorities being responsible for ensuring their own preparedness planning.
The strategy identifies 112 vital societal functions across 15 sectors and has been developed in collaboration with ten government ministries
